Within The Definition of Waste Code of Practice (DoWCoP), developed by CL:AIRE, there are two key ways to reuse excavated soils:

Site of Origin – Reusing soils, even if contaminated, on the same site where they were excavated.

Direct Transfer – Moving clean, naturally occurring soils from one site to another.

Provide an initial assessment of whether soil re-use is appropriate, compliant and viable
Source donor and receiver sites and manage the process from start to finish, including commercial agreements and haulage
Produce Materials Management Plans and any other required supporting information required to ensure compliance
Gain Qualified Person (QP) sign off of the MMP
Complete and submit the required Verification report(s)
