Sustainable, Compliant & Development-Ready Ground Solutions

SoilEx provides practical, commercially focused land remediation support for construction and development projects across the UK. With a strong focus on sustainable ground recovery, we prioritise soil and water treatment, material reuse and compliant waste management to help make sites safe, suitable for reuse and ready for development. Our approach is tailored to the risks, constraints and commercial priorities of each project.

Permitting Services support

Our review proposed site works and issue guidance on the most appropriate route to ensure legal compliance and then assist in the securing of environmental permits from Defra and the Environment Agency including, RPSs, FRAPs, EPs

Contaminated Soil/Water Treatment

We pride ourselves on providing industry-leading technical advice, coupled with a commercial focus that allows us to offer the best solution for each client, on every project. SoilEx are far more than just a remediation contractor – we are the ideal partner to ensure your ground is managed in a compliant, sustainable and cost-effective way.

We can manage a variety of contaminated soils and waters including:

  • Suspended solids
  • Organics
  • Hydrocarbons and PAHs
  • Heavy metals
  • Asbestos-containing soils
  • Legacy radioactive remnants
  • Invasive plants (e.g., Giant hogweed, Japanese knotweed, Japanese rose)

Soil Treatment & Reuse

Clean and treated soils can often be reused on site or at restoration projects, meaning significant volumes can be diverted from landfill. Our approach focuses on maximising recovery wherever possible, reducing disposal costs and improving sustainability outcomes.

Treatment options include:

  • Bioremediation
  • Stabilisation / solidification
  • Skim, pump and treat
  • Chemical intervention
  • Excavation & segregation
  • Hotspot removal
  • Capping & cover systems

CL:AIRE DoWCoP Support

Where appropriate, SoilEx supports projects under the CL:AIRE Definition of Waste Code of Practice (DoWCoP), allowing materials to be reused without being classified as waste. Our team prepares Materials Management Plans (MMP), manages tracking and provides Qualified Person sign-off to ensure full compliance.

Validation & Verification

Every remediation project concludes with clear, robust documentation that satisfies regulators, planners and environmental consultants. SoilEx deliver structured, concise and regulator-ready reports, ensuring all validation and verification requirements are met with clarity, confidence and compliance.

All remediation activities can be tracked through the ConnEx portal, giving access to treatment records, permits, logs, waste carriers’ licences, emissions data and validation documentation. This system saves time, improves visibility and ensures full transparency across the project.
